3 Ways to Reset Your Hormones to Lose Weight Naturally

When it comes to consciously creating a life you love, it starts with taking control of your health.

That bod of yours is the vehicle on this epic life journey and you gotsta take care of it.

It shouldn’t be a chore either...taking care of your health should be fun!

And it all begins with an invisible inner force that dictates our mood, energy levels, weight, and so much more. You guessed it... hormones.

Resetting those haywire hormones is the key to losing weight and boosting your energy naturally.

You don’t have to heal your hormones with more...hormones.

You can balance them using powerful essential oils and developing a self-care practice. Yup. It’s that easy.

I love anything that involves incorporating simple daily habits...we have enough stress on our plates.

So let me take this one thing off your plate.

Weight loss is a touchy subject.

The commercials are constantly in our faces.

The fads and diets are endless.

And they all over-promise and under-deliver.

Or they work but only for the short-term — more like a band-aid than a long term solution.

So let’s take our power back ladies.

Become the boss of your own health, just like you’re the boss of your biz.

Effective, long-term weight loss starts and ends with your own body’s chemical composition. Your hormones.

For some women, maintaining a healthy weight is as simple as eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise, but not for all.

If you have a hormonal imbalance, it can make things a lot more difficult.

Let’s start with some symptoms of a hormonal imbalance…fatigue, weight gain, trouble sleeping, mood swings —  do any of these sound familiar?

When it comes to losing weight specifically, you could have an overproduction of hormones going on...like cortisol. Which can make the body store more fat.

Cortisol is released when your body responds to stress. It’s supposed to help us when we are in a fight or flight situation but the sad thing is, the stress of our everyday lives is now making us release it more than ever.

And it’s bad.

Cortisol can not only trigger your body to store more fat, it can break down muscle tissue and make you crave those nasty carbs and sugar.

My friend Dr. Mariza Snyder is an expert on all of this.

She’s a hormone practitioner and the author of seven books, including a bestseller.

Her latest book is all about this important topic. It’s called, The Essential Oils Hormone Solution.

She’s got lots of tips and tricks for helping you reset your hormones.

1. It starts with food

Start with eating hormone-balancing foods.

Which means...eat green. I mean it. Eat all the leafy greens you can.

But the other colors are great too.

Your diet should be rich in veggies and very limited in sugar and processed foods.

You should also limit caffeine, which is a friend of cortisol. Yes yes, I know, you’re shaking your head at me…

I know it’s super hard to quit caffeine. Most of us have a love affair with coffee. But if you’re suffering, it ain’t worth it. Try drinking tea instead.

Another key to losing weight naturally is to drink water.

I have my water bottle with me 24/7.

Instead of grabbing a bag of chips, drink a glass of water. It will most likely curb that craving.

Supplements are also my best buds.

Like Omega 3’s, Vitamin B and Magnesium.

I also don’t go a day without my doTERRA Lifelong Vitality Pack, Terrazyme, and my slim and sassy soft gels. These daily supplements focus on muscle and joint pain, digestive health, women’s health, and weight management.

2. Self-care

We need to talk about the “S” word.

Yep, I’m talking about stress.

Which is a huge hormone-affecting agent.

Self-care is key in controlling our fight or flight response. And lowering our cortisol levels.

Take care of yourself. Develop a daily meditation practice.

Block time for it just like you would for work.

Because this work is the most important and no one is going to make you do it but you.

Do things that ground you out.

Go out into nature. Deep breathing. Exercise. Yoga.

All these things will help you boost your energy and help you battle fatigue as well...especially exercise.

3. Essential oils are your friend

Finally, if you’re not already on the essential oils train, all aboard!!

You guys know that essential oils are my life and guess what...they’re powerful hormone balancers.

And they’re NATURAL.

Essential oils can help calm you and promote feelings of well-being which will in turn...support your hormone health.

Bring oils like lavender, clary sage and rosemary wherever you go! Or add some to your diffuser at home.

I personally have a little travel kit that goes everywhere with me. And it’s a lifesaver.

Balancing your hormones is a lifelong journey and it’s important one to start now.

And it shouldn’t be a drag.

Eating healthy, exercise, self-care...these are all positive things that will awaken your mind, boost your energy levels and help you lose weight, boost your energy, and stabilize your mood.

Naturally.

How are you going to start naturally balancing your hormones? Which one of these tips is the most appealing to you?
