Creating friendships…

Hey,

How are you doing?

I don’t mean to brag here but I feel on cloud 9 right now.  Yes I am absolutely ecstatic and buzzing with energy.  Wait what?  How and why?

Well I have just spent close to a week in Salt Lake City, Utah for a massive convention with doTERRA, which is actually the largest convention in the industry.

The convention is awesome as always because they really put on a great show, make us feel so special and inspire us all.  I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker again at a training workshop which I absolutely love doing.

But here’s the thing about all of this.  Do you want to know the real reason behind me feeling so good?  My friends!

Yes it us that simple…my friends.

These amazing friends who have become such a huge part of my life and inspire me, make me laugh and motivate me to do more, so I can give back to them.

The crazy thing is that I didn’t even know any of these girls a few years ago.  That’s right, I didn’t know one of them!  And here we are in Utah together and from all over the US and all over the world.

Such different backgrounds, cultures, interests and more, yet we get on so well together.  How did this happen?  How did I make friends from all different parts of the country and have friends from the UK, Europe, Asia and Australasia?

Well the main reason is that my business is all about networking and making friendships.  But the thing is, most people go out to Network so they can do business, when really it should really be about meeting people and connecting with them.

Taking an interest in them, sharing with them your life and dreams and trying to expand and grow those relationships and friendships.

I am not saying you will become besties with everyone, but you will make amazing friendships when you put yourself out there and just go out to connect with people.

Some of these people I met by striking up a conversation in a store, while on an airplane, while speaking at or attending an event, some through Facebook and others through my website.

So the message behind this weeks newsletter is simple…follow your natural human instinct to be social.  Go out and strike up a conversation with new people.  You can do this at your grocery store, your gym, at the beach, while taking your dogs for a walk, while standing in the line at the Post Office….anywhere.

Be authentic, be yourself and invite people into your life as best as you can and find out as much as you can about that person.  Show them you’re genuine and caring and you’ll be blown away as to where those conversations can lead to.

Conversations create bonds.  Bonds create friendships.  Friendships make Life fun!

XO

Hayley
