Embracing Change

Hey Guys,

I love the Beach and Sunshine! But I live in the mountains…LOL. Well at least we have so many awesome sunny days here in Colorado, and I get to travel a lot so I always make it to the Ocean a number of times a year. I have just spent our Spring break in Florida which is where my parents live and it was fantastic! I ended up working a lot more than expected because following a recent interview I did, I had so many people approach me. My Facebook and email inbox was exploding.Embrace Change So we were meant to leave on Friday to go home to Boulder, which was getting crazy amounts of snow. I said to my youngest daughter Madeline…”Should we stay another 3 days and go home on Sunday or go home to the snow today?” That was an easy YES for her as she loves the beach and she loves her grandparents…not to mention the sugar fixes and how they spoil her when they see her…so I was kinda expecting that! So we did. My husband and older daughter decided they were going to go back to Boulder. So the “thing” I wanted to speak about was the ability to change and be flexible. You know I travel with some people and a last minute change like that would have blown their minds…And I am not being negative here. I am just stating what science tells us. We humans don’t always like change, even if the outcome will result in something better for us. We cling to that situation which is familiar to us. It wasn’t simply calling up the airline and changing the tickets, it was about changing many other planned events for the rest of the weekend, personal and business related. To be honest it was a pain to do that, but I said to myself…just go with it. Don’t worry about all the things that could potentially go wrong or about the inconvenience. In short I just embraced the situation…And you know what happened? Everything just worked out so smoothly. Despite my inboxes continuing to blow up, everything just happened easily. And this was all because I shifted my mindset and decided I wanted to make a change and I embraced it. Now you can apply this same mindset to any area of your life where you want change. Now I know that can become a little stressful and anxious for many as we step out of our comfort zones so here’s one big tip for you…grab yourself an Emotional Aromatherapy Kit.
