Living the WHOLE MOM-trepreneur Life

Hey Guys,

So this week I want to talk to all you MOM’s out there, and by the way DAD’s too, as I know there are many of you that are part of my community…

Although this is mainly for entrepreneurs it is also applicable to those who are not entrepreneurs nor parents. You’ll definitely be able to pick up some tips from this. So many people ask me how I get to do everything that I do and how I haven’t driven myself crazy with all the “stuff” going on. Now I don’t want to sound like superwomen or come off all arrogant but consider this. I work out 1-2 hours every day, I get to pick up and drop off my daughter at school and her after school activities. I manage hundreds of people on my team all across the world, I teach 4 online courses, speak on stage around the world, spend weekends with my family, traveled to over 6 different countries to holiday with my family last year and did 160 flights last year….AND I sleep 8 hours a day! So how do I do it? I stay organized. I have goals, I have a plan and I make sure they are visible to me every single day. To be honest if I didn’t do this…my world would be a disaster! If I just went to bed whenever I felt tired or woke up when I wanted to, went to my computer and checked my emails to see what was happening that day, I would fall to pieces…that’s the reality and that’s the truth. So are you ready to be “superwomen” and start to achieve much more than you ever expected you could? Well here’s some cool tips for you to apply to your life: Create a strategy - You need to have a large overall picture of your life in ALL areas.  Your family life, health, interests, money, career etc.  Know what you want and what you need to get there.  That is what everything else in your life should be driven off.   Plan your weeks - Every Sunday evening I sit down and plan what my week is going to look like, what I need to do and create a plan for the week. My plan allows me to make sure I work on items for my life strategy while still being able to take care of life’s day to day tasks. Plan your days - I also plan my day the evening before, so that I know what I need to do before I have even woken up.  That way, I am not letting my day be determined by my email inbox, but rather by me.   Eliminate distractions - If you work from home then you need to eliminate everything that can distract you. Turn off the TV. Turn off your Facebook, personal email and text messaging. Stay focused on your plan, and then when those are complete, you can get social… Find Balance - One of the reasons I make sure that I get my workout (Yoga, Spin, Exercise class or hike) every day is that I know balance is so important to life. It relieves stress and also keeps me feeling energized and fulfilled…that way when working and traveling I don’t feel stressed. Get Rest - Without a good nights rest I can’t operate at full capacity…in fact I get a little grouchy. So make sure you turn off the TV 15-30 mins earlier and get a good night sleep in. It’s makes a huge difference. Get Help - You can’t do everything! Get help in areas that are overwhelming for you. I am a cleaning freak, but I know if I am vacuuming and tidying my house multiple times a day, every day then I am taking away my time at my business and making money. It makes no sense to do that, when I could hire someone to help me. Determine what your hourly value is and if you are doing work that you could get someone to do for you at less than your hourly value then do it. My home help is awesome, as she also even runs errands for me at times. Those times when I have a busy day and I know I still want to get my workout in…she will help me to buy groceries and even help prepare my lunch! Pretty cool right? Find someone like this who can free hours up in your day and week. It is these small little changes that add up to HUGE changes in our results. Start implementing them into your life today. XO Hayley
