How to Stop Breaking Promises to Yourself with Malissa Vogel

Did you know that right around now… 80% of people have given up on their New Year’s Resolutions?

Statistically speaking, that is.

And if you’re part of that huge percentage… it’s not your fault.

Bet ya didn’t think I was gonna say that, huh? LOL

Resolutions just don’t work.

Because they’re wayyyyy too limiting.

They’re black and white. Do it or don’t.

And while I AM all about that to a certain extent… sometimes shiz happens.

And ya gotta pivot.

I mean, I had to totally redo my ENTIRE year of business strategy – on January 1st.

Because of the stupid social media hack.

Maybe something similar has happened to you…

You or someone in your family got sick.

Something happened at your job.

You had an emotional situation that just rocked your world.

And in the land of resolutions… it feels like if you slip up once… you’re a total failure.

Which is why I wanna talk instead… about GOALS.

Goals are a big picture vision of where you wanna go.

They have room to deviate… pivot… address situations that go sideways on ya.

But the end goal – your vision – is still clear.

There are lots of different ways to get from point A to point B.

Which actually reminds me… in case you haven’t heard, I rescheduled my Reclaim Your Time Challenge.

Now it starts on Monday!

And you can still get in.

Head on over to https://www.hayleyhobson.com/reclaimyourtimechallenge and reserve your pass.

Ok so with that out of the way… I wanna give you this public service announcement.

It’s totally ok to reassess your goals – switch things up and reassess – after January 1st, like I had to do.

You aren’t locked into a particular timeline to start going after your goals.

Although now is always better than never… or even later… if ya ask me. LOL

So if you haven’t done that yet: thought about what goals you want to accomplish… and how you’re gonna get there…

There’s never been a better time.

And I’ve got a super special guest here today that is gonna help us with that.

Malissa Vogel -- who also goes by MJ -- is a high performance coach. And we totally vibe on one MAJOR thing when it comes to goals:

Stop talking… and start doing.

AKA: Show up and put in the work.

Yep, even when you’re dealt a full-on FUSTERcluck, like I have.

You can still show up and handle your biz.

And I’m thrilled to introduce Malissa to you today.

If you’ve struggled to make good on the goals you have for yourself… whether that’s for your health… your work… your personal life…

She’s gonna help you out today.

So without further adieu… let’s welcome MJ!

And I have got a super special guest here today. That's gonna help us with that Melissa Vogel, who goes by MJ and she's a high performance coach and we totally vibe on one major thing when it comes to goals, stop talking and start doing AKA show up and put in the work. Yep. Even when you're dealt a full on fuster cluck, like I have, you can still show up and handle your Biz. So I'm thrilled to introduce her to you today. If you've struggled to make good on your goals like you have for yourself, whether that's for your health, your work, your personal life, she's gonna help you out today. So without further ado, let's welcome. MJ, MJ, Hey, can you share a little bit about what a high performance coache is and what you do in your Biz?

Melissa Vogel:
Yeah, for sure. So I would say a high-performance coach is somebody that helps people with reaching their potential and doing so by reaching their own potential or consistently chasing their potential. And what I do, I've done about 350 million in consultant work in business and helping some of the biggest corporations in the entire world for like top, top, top companies with strategic planning, rolling out, how do they plan their, their rollout? How do they plan their business? How do they make sure they capture the market share? How does their expansion look like? So what I do is I help people with reaching their growth, whether that be brick and mortar locations in also their self-growth and their self-potential by pushing them and developing them to be able to chase their goals and accomplish them.

Hayley:
What made you go into this kind of arena yourself? Was, did you, were you having any specific challenges yourself? Like a lot of times we start a business because we are feeling it. We figured it out. We have, and then we're like motivated to teach other people to do it. I'd love to hear your story.

Melissa:
So it all comes to me when it comes to personal mission statement. So I didn't really know the exact path that I would be on at a very young age, but all I knew is I made a declaration, a commitment and a determination that I was going to be chasing my potential. So my life mission statement came when I was 14 years old, I came from rock bottom. The very first bedroom I had was a closet to that point. I was sleeping on the floor and a sleeping back next to a broken refrigerator that was infested with mice that we used as a kitchen table. And I came from extreme poverty. Self-educated from age nine up. The last thing I was taught was how to, um, multiply fractions. And then after teaching myself with a six year old GD book, I realized, okay, the adversity in, life's never going to go away. What I can do though, is I can make a commitment and a declaration to create something beautiful out of the adversity that I've been given in my life. And that's when I started setting out to try to help people, to encourage people, to motivate people and also chase my own potential.

Hayley:
Yeah, that's interesting. I was just literally recording another podcast with somebody else. And we were talking about, we were getting, you know, pretty vulnerable and the conversation was more about like, you know, sharing with your audience, teaching people to show up as they really are, cuz she's a copywriter and you know how to use your voice and be who you are. And you know, we are having this conversation about like how much is too much to share, you know, like when you're out there and you're like sending your emails or you're on lives or you're, you're in social media and you're building a community of people, even when you have students, I even felt like this this morning when I was talking to literally my team on our, on our morning calls, I've been going through some stuff and I'm like, how much do I share with them?

Like how vulnerable do you get, cuz there's this like, there's this place where vulnerability and authenticity and, and, and, um, connection, breed trust. But then there's also this place where, you know, you don't wanna show up as a hot mess all the time. And sometimes you just gotta put on your big girl panties and like go to work and not tell everybody all your dirty laundry. And she talked about like, you know, you can show people, you can show people your scars, but don't show 'em the wounds. And so this is, this is again, really relevant because you know, a lot of times we have something that we're going through and then we figure it out and then we're like, gosh, I don't wanna share this with the world. Cause I know it's gonna help other people. And sometimes our mess becomes our message. And you know, I always think like when I'm going through a really emotional part of my life, sometimes I'm like, why is this happening?

Like why do I need to feel this bad? And I, I sometimes obsess, like I can't get thoughts outta my head. And then sometimes I actually want the painful thoughts in, because it makes me feel live to process them. And then I think to myself, mm-hmm this has been going, this is what's been going on with me lately. I'm sharing it. Literally like being super raw. This is what I'm supposed to talk about next. Like, this is why my brain won't let go of this pain, painful thought that is causing emotional pain because I get to process this and feel this and then help somebody else through that journey. So it sounds like maybe that's what happened to you. Mm-hmm

Melissa
Yeah, I think that's a very beautiful articulation of what it's like and the importance of being able to understand what you just said as truth is huge. Cause a lot of people right now in the entrepreneurial field, they see Instagram and they think that being an entrepreneur, business owners, Lambos, free time, and all this glamour is shit. And they don't realize that no, being a business owner is a lot of overcoming adversity challenges, finding your community of people that you trust, that like you and know your authentic self it's, all the matter of owning the adversity versus it owning you. So I think a lot of it comes to the intentionality is to the vulnerability. There's your intentionality with the vulnerability to go and get validation from other people so that they know that your life's a big, hot mess. Or do you want to go out there and share your vulnerability for the intention of connecting with others and understanding that adversity is the biggest connecting thread to all of us as a species. And it's something that relates you to me and everybody else on this planet, if we intentionally utilize it that way.

Hayley
Yeah, absolutely. That's a really good way to articulate it all as well. Um, so let's, let's, let's pivot for a second. And in, in, in like taking that next step to, you know, you've got something in front of you, you've got a plan, you've got a vision, you've got a goal. You go ahead and you, you step out of your comfort zone probably, or maybe you are, are, are attacking or jumping into some type of fear that's in front of you. And then you hit more challenges. You hit another speed bump. You have another block of fear that comes in front of you. This is basically, uh, I'm sure everybody's heard right now. Listen in the podcast cuz I, you know, I lost all of my social media accounts last month and we're a little over than a month ago and it felt like, oh my gosh, I don't, I do not.

I, I literally was having thoughts. Like I don't know how to navigate my business right now. Like I use this and rely on this for such a huge piece of bringing connection into my business, but also establishing connections. So people actually can, can, can be in my space and take part in the things I'm doing. And I was like, had so many thoughts, like, well I literally had a thought of like maybe my career's over now  I was like, well, you know what? I had a really good time and you know what? I've made a lot of money and maybe it's time now to just hang it up. Like I don't wanna do it again. Um, but that's not me. And I, I love what I do and I wanna continue to get my message out there and leave the legacy I'm leaving. So I, I got to, I got to start to think about, you know, a different kind of strategy and I got to set different goals and they weren't the goals that I was looking at originally, but it was like, okay, well now I can't achieve this because of the unknown circumstance.

So now I get to pivot and that's fun for me because I like strategy and I like being creative and I get to set new goals. So the reason I bring this up is because I think that there are some people that set goals and achieve them. And I think that there's some people that set goals and achieve them consistently. And then I think there's some people who just don't set goals. And then I think that there's some people who set goals and never achieve them. What are your thoughts on this? And why do you think that some people are super consistent versus not consistent in achieving their goals?

Melisaa:
So I'd say that it separation is because a lot of people that don't accomplish their goals, they are sitting there waiting to arrive in life. They're saying, okay, this is the weight that I need to get to. So hopefully once I get and reach that mountain, I can go back to eating Twinki and hohos of donuts. And they're waiting to arrive at a particular weight or a particular goal in a destination. And when they have their focused on going back to who they used to be, that will make it so they never accomplish their goals. Instead, the people that consistently accomplish their goals are focused on the person there becoming and chasing in pursuit of their goals, their dreams, and their destination. And they fall in love with the process. I've been the previous person. I've been the person sitting there and waiting for me to reach a particular goal or destination to arrive in life and life will punch you in the face.

Every single time that you're sitting there and waiting to arrive in life. How it punched me in the face is at the age of 25. I finally quit my last night job. I worked up to four jobs while building a business and going to college. Finally quit. The last night job finally graduated with the, the second degree and my business was good enough to sustain myself. Within two months I was interviewing neurosurgeons. I couldn't remember how to get home. I couldn't remember how to spell my name, my right hand. Wouldn't open up. My right foot was turning into a claw and I was needing to get brain surgery and 11 additional surgeries back to back. I lost everything because of the adversity. Yes, but most importantly, I lost everything because my mind got soft and I was too worried and I was too focused on trying to get to an end goal that was going to make it so I no longer needed to work so hard that focus on arriving in life will absolutely devastate anybody and everybody in their dreams.

Hayley:
Ugh. , that's a lot. That's a lot. So how do you, like, what's the mindset that you had during that period? Like how did you continue to press on, like, what were you saying to yourself?

Melissa:
So for me it was a realization of a couple things. One is I was heading in to go and get the brain surgery. They were already devastated to do the surgery on me because they provided the same surgery to somebody else, a 19 year old gal that, um, was a brand new mother. And she passed away in the middle of the surgery. She was brain dead after the procedure. So they were terrified to do the surgery on me. I was terrified as I was driving to go and get the surgery. That that could very well be my fate. But what I was most scared of is if it was my fate, I knew that I held back my potential, my goal, my dreams based on other people's comfort. And I promise that I was never going to do that again if I made it through that surgery.

So that was the big commitment. It wasn't that easy though. Same thing. Like you said, people set out goals and then life punches them in the face. And then they get kind of pulled back. It took a reminder for me to be able to change my mindset, to keep pushing on. And what happened to create that is I was still blacking out every three hours, but I had three hours that I could go and work that I could go and be productive. That was a lot more than a lot of people in my situation had that were getting back to back brain surgeries and or dying spontaneously in their sleep. So I had a commitment to create something beautiful for those three hours, the same way that everyone does when they have a adversity hit their life, you have a commitment and opportunity to make a beautiful impact with it. What are you gonna do with it?

Hayley:
So why do people, why do you think people break promises to themselves? Like I think that, you know, you talked about like the mindset of like breaking through adversity and showing up because you have a message that you wanna send and showing up for other people. But why do you think that people don't do that?

Melissa:
I think there's a very big challenge with this self-love movement. There's a huge push for self-love, self-love and self care. And those things are extremely important. But I think there's a very big misconception on what self-love means. One of my favorite quotes by will Smith is he says, self-discipline is self-love. Meaning that I'm not gonna go and binge drink because I know it's going to screw up my goals, my dreams, my body inflammation, all of these things. That's not self-love. That's not self-treatment, I'm gonna go out there and do something disciplined. I'm gonna eat a healthy diet. I'm gonna go and work out. I'm gonna build a business. And I'm very passionate about my goals and the pursuit of them and the, the discipline it takes to accomplish them. That is what self-love is. So if people can flip that in their mind, because a lot of people have a bad connection with the word discipline to articulate it and connect it in with self-love. That is the big unlock. That's the big opportunity for a lot of people to create their goals is switching that and understanding that self-discipline creates freedom and it creates your goals and is the biggest expression to self-love that there is

Hayley
So, you know, you know that I talk a lot about habits and consistency, right?

Melissa
Mm-hmm

Hayley
What do you think that people can do in terms of establishing and practicing their own habits in order to keep their own momentum going? Do you have any thoughts or opinions on this?

Melissa
Yeah, absolutely. So habits are extremely important for those that aren't familiar with my story after I had the brain surgery, I had 11 additional surgeries. Like I said, I couldn't be upright for more in three hours at a time. So I'd get up every day and be like, okay, I'm who I used to be. I can go and clean the entire kitchen and clean my entire house and do 40 cold calls and all this crap. And then I'd black out and I'd be red ridden for like three days. And then I'd be set back even further. So what I could do is realize I can fix one small thing in my life. I could focus on one thing, come hell or high water. I'm gonna do this one thing. And then I'm gonna compound it week by week and build on it and build a new version of myself.

So how I am here today, where I'm doing big conferences with big people, doing a hundred mile bike races, all these things still chronically ill is by habit implementation. And I did it for two years straight a habit a week. So habits are huge. What I would say the big first thing that I would have people do is to focus on breaking bad habits and pivoting those habits to be positive habits. So I encourage people that I work with one on one to take a journal of their life. What are they doing every hour? Are you checking your phone? Are you on social media? Are you binge watching TV? What are you doing? And then how can you change those habits? Just one at a time. And one that's going to benefit you to your goals and your dreams. A lot of people try to add new freaking bricks to the crack foundation, so that overwhelmed and too busy and their destructive habits are basically counteracting any of their positive habits. So break your PO negative habits by connecting them into positive habits. One small change at a time. So it's sustainable.

Hayley:
Yeah, that's really good. You know, some of the things that I think about when I think about habits and you guys have heard me talk about this before is like, they're little simple strategies that you can use and stack upon each other to enhance your life. Like whether it's your personal life or whether it's your business life or whether it's your family life, your personal life, your sex life, whatever. Like you get to have little creative strategies that you implement over and over and have you do them as you do them over and over, they become a habit. So like for me, it's, it's, non-negotiable that I do a morning meditation. It was hard for me in the morning, in the beginning because I just wasn't used to it. And I had to remind myself and, you know, put it on my calendar. And then once I did it over and over, it just became a habit.

It's like brushing your teeth. You don't forget to brush your teeth. Right? Hope not. Or I don't, I don't forget to take my makeup off at night. Like some people don't do that. I, I take my makeup off at light at, at night. And so, you know, whether it's like, my habit is like, I get like, I, I do dinner. And then I, I go upstairs and I relax and I get in bed and I'm, you know, going to sleep between eight 30 and nine. Like you get to create whatever habits are gonna help you rest better, eat smarter, feel better, improve your mental health, your emotional health, improve your productivity set goals that you can attain, whatever it is. And when you can practice them over and over again and just make a little tweak to something to improve it, not a massive, like I'm gonna do this and this and this and this and this and this.

And then it's like, you're setting yourself up for failure. But when you can add one little tweak, like, you know what, I'm gonna start in addition to start taking like a vitamin complex, I'm also going to take a digestive Ben enzyme and an omega at the same time. Like you're already doing, you know, part of it. So now it's like, you know, and you lay it out on the counter and then it just becomes a habit over time. And then when you're consistent, keeps momentum going like on a personal end, like same thing with my social media. Like I have a habit of like posting on social media, especially in my stories daily. It's so funny. Cuz when the story feature just came out, I literally said to somebody on my team, like what do people say in their stories? Like  who cares? Like what's going on all day?

Like what am I doing in my life? That's so interesting. Like I could not fathom what to do and I couldn't get into the habit at first of like, oh, there's a moment. Oh, there's a moment. And then today already I walked up into the space that I'm in right now this morning I came up very early as the sun was riding. I'm like, oh, there's a moment. And I'm at and a habit of looking for moments. So I caught this beautiful sunrise that's in my office. And then, you know, my, another friend of mine, we were doing a podcast earlier, which is something super funny. And I just grabbed the camera at the right moment. I'm like, I'm in the habit of sharing what's going on in the daily. So the more you do it, the more you show up, you might need reminders.

You might need bells ringing on your phone. You might need calendar reminders. You might need notes around our sticky pads on your computer or whatever. But the more you do it, the more you get consistent and the more you consistent, the more you keep the momentum going. I talk about that all the time as it relates to, um, time management. Because most people, what I observe are really crappy and messy yeah. At managing their time. So they'll say something like, you know, I've got like, alright, I'm an appointment. I gotta be there wherever there is at nine o'clock in the morning. And they don't realize that it takes them 11 minutes to get there four minutes to park the car, five minutes to run around their house before they're leaving, like trying to figure out where their keys are or grab their water bottle or just back out of the garage.

And, and then notice that there's a truck in front of them. So they gotta wait a minute or they hit an extra two traffic lights. And then even before that, that, that, that, that, that they wanted to do their 15 minute meditation and brush of teeth and do their skincare. And they had a fight with their husband on the way. And like, if you add up all of these things, you know, for me, I actually spend three hours of my time in the morning getting ready for my day. And I don't mean that it literally takes me three hours to set up for the day. But it means like for the moment I wake up and I like wake up and maybe I look at my phone and check a couple messages. Maybe I do my morning meditation. Maybe I do my skincare routine. I fill up my water bottle with some type of supplement drink that I wanna drink.

I take my daughter to school. I go get a coffee. I, um, go to my workout class. I drive home from it. I take a shower, you know, like all of those things spend 20 minutes on social media, check my emails again, like all of those things I know. Cause I've documented, it takes me three hours. So if I go ahead and tell somebody, I can meet them at like seven o'clock in the morning. Then I gotta either wake up at four or I have to knock some of that off or I'm just gonna be late. So anyway, I teach a lot of this about like, because people use time as an obstacle. I don't have enough time. I don't have time. Well, you don't have enough time because you are messy at planning. Yes. And when you're messy at planning, it's inevitable that you're not gonna achieve your goals. Yeah. And you will have curve balls. That life throws your way. I promise you every damn day.  so this is like, guess like a two pound two part compound question for you. The first part is, is how do you suggest people overcome time as an obstacle? And then the second one is what tips do you have when the curve balls hit?

Melissa:
Gotcha. So for time being an obstacle, I think it needs to be a pivot in the mindset of one particular thing, which is understanding that all the people that you idolize, whether it's biggest celebrities in the world, whether it's big influencers, whether it's big authors, whoever it is, the people that you idolize, they are your peers, they are fellow humans. They have the same amount of potential that you have the differences as they have made a commitment to fulfill their potential and to maximize the time that they have. So that's a big mental unlock is realizing. And that's a big reason why I'm not a big, like I'm not a fan girl for like anybody. Like I love the grant Cardone community, the David Goggins community. I've got a lot of my favorite singers, but I love them. And I understand that they are human tune and I connect with them on that human level.

And that understanding of not sitting there and thinking that they have even more greatness than you, which is not something normally that those kind of people want you to feel and understanding that they're just trying to get you to see the greatness in themselves. That's the unlock. They have the same amount of time as you do. Now, when it comes to the tips on doing that, I would say a couple things. One is I would stop watch yourself. If you're listening to this podcast, stop, watch yourself for one hour, break it into 10 minute increments. Every 10 minutes, your freaking phone, alarm's going to be going off, get as much crap done as you possibly can. Within that 10 minutes and write down everything that you did during that timeframe. What I've realized is this. Even people that are high performance people and I've worked with a lot of the big ones, they will realize that they're leaving so much potential on the table because they got distracted because they're wasting their time because they're getting pulled away to an activity that does not benefit them.

They also realize how much they can get done within a particular time. Kind of similar to what you're talking about, Hailey, where you're like, Hey, I know it takes me three hours to do this. It helps you realize how much you can get done within that window of time. Once you've done that, I guarantee you, if you do it to do for an hour, it'll break all of your mental barriers on time after you do that. Step number two is get a frigging planner, get a planner that has the entire week planned out by little time, increment blocks and block out and plan your week a week ahead of time, you're gonna make changes. Curve balls are gonna come up. Things are gonna happen. But if you have your week planned, it allows you to see what your commitments are and how you can pivot your time to accomplish your goals regardless of the curve balls. And it will also make you more aware of what you're spending your time on when you're like, Hey, this is huge white space in my calendar that I'm doing nothing with, oh, that's right. I have a dream to be a published author. Here's my time to do that. And it allows you to tie into your goals, your dreams and the things that you wanna do with your life, with the free time that every single one of us has. So yeah

Hayley:
So good stuff like this is what I talk about all the time. Like you've got to set intentions and then really be a master at managing your calendar. It's funny. I had a conversation with a group of, of Stu of students that I have that I coach every week. And most of them didn't keep a calendar. I was like, how do you guys show up for your life? Like if it's not on my calendar, it's literally not happening. So first of all, putting things on your calendar is a tool for you. And then learning how to master the calendaring aspect of it is a skill. And it's funny because, or maybe not funny, but I, I mean, I have an assistant she's literally in charge of my calendar cuz that's how much it moves. And I had to train her. It's not just like putting things back, back on the counter.

I had to train her like how's my brain work, you know, can I go from like recording a podcast right into like editing a shitload of content? No, my brain can't process like that. Like, am I gonna do a whole bunch of podcasts in one day? Yes. Because then my brain is in that mode. Right? Like I can't move from analytical to creative, to strategic, like all in the same day. Like I wanna be, you know, in a specific mind frame at once and how long I need for blocks and what if something goes over and when I have an appointment, like give me five minutes to pay who I'm in front of or walk out the door or get to my car. This is how long it takes to get places. And I don't wanna feel scattered. What if I need a document in front of me and I need to be in computer?

What kind of, what kind of appointments can I do from the car? What kind can I do for my phone in the house? What kind do I need to be in front of? You know what I mean? So it really is a strategy learning how to create the ideal calendar for yourself so that you have the ability to show up for your life, to show up for yourself, to show up for your family, to show up for your friends and to also feel like you've got free time to be and even get more creative. And then when curve balls do smack you in the face, you, you have the space to strategically move things around. Well, anyways, mm-hmm thank you for being here. Do you have a, is there anything else that you'd like to share that I haven't asked you yet?

Melissa
Well, first off I love what you just said there. I think it's awesome. I just, I wanna add that I time block time for me to go and watch TikTok videos of cute fluffy animals. So feel free to time block, whatever makes you guys happy and makes you feel fulfilled. And that may even include blocking out some extra time to waste time, even that is important. So I love that. Um, one thing I wanted, I just

Hayley:
Said that today, like I just did that today. I told my assistant, like, can you do me a favor? Cause I'm I'm I was just asked to speak at an event in March. And this is the first time I felt compelled to like, not speak from a PowerPoint. Like I just really wanted to be this authentic message that I just went at, like flow completely, not unprepared, but without prompts. Yeah. And so I said, can you do me a favor? Can you block me out sometime on my calendar to think?

Melissa
Yeah. Ooh. I love that.

Hayley
I can't, I don't wanna just show up. Yeah. I wanna think on the plane on Friday and I wanna, as I'm thinking, create some notes, I will give them to you guys. And I might have like maybe just six slides that are just sort of prompts for visuals, but I don't want it to be like a teaching line by line moment, but I need time to think.

Hayley
Yes. Yes. I love that. Oh man. Um, and then last thing I wanna say, if people wanna check out my book, it's all about habit implementation. So top 11 habits I've found within a two year period of implementing a habit a week. So check that out. It's on Amazon. But the last thing I wanna say, going back to the momentum thing, one of my favorite things to say is success and failure are all creative by positive or negative momentum. So if you're washing this and you're like, Hey, I thought 20, 22 was going to be my year. And I'm just hap this happened, this happened. And this happened, understand that that's very valid. The thing about excuses and challenges is they're often valid, but you get to decide what that means for your life. And in order to make it positive, you have to put yourself on positive momentum.

That may mean doing something that you've been procrastinating on that may mean picking up the phone and having a tough conversation that may mean, you know what that means. Okay. That may mean a lot of different things, but switch yourself onto positive Mo momentum by going and do something that makes you uncomfortable or that you know, that you've been procrastinating on that will flip the momentum immediately. As soon as you take action. So, and encourage anybody in the audience to try that out. If they feel like this year has been off to a Rocky start.

Hayley:
Oh gosh, I appreciate that. That's awesome. Really, really good. That was such an inspiring combo. Don't you think I'm super pumped right now to make some frigging lemonade out of the lemons I've been handed and put my 20, 22 goals in action, right? Frigging. Now  the point she made about time is just so critical, you know, way too many people use time as an excuse for why they don't get shits done. And you know what that excuse is weak sauce BS, because we all have the same amount of time. It's what we do with it. That makes the difference.
