Giving Thanks

Hey Guys,

So here we are…another Thanksgiving and another Holiday season that seemed to creep up on us SO quickly! Where has the year gone? I want to just start off by saying I am SO THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for you being a part of this community. You all inspire me to keep adding more and more value to your lives…Thank You! I love this time of the year, don’t you? This is my favorite time of the year, especially seeing the excitement and fun that the kiddos have and the fun that I have too… It brings out the kid in me.Veggies Even though I was raised Jewish my Husband isn’t, so we really celebrate ALL holidays and it is awesome! What is going to make this one extra special is the high amount of travel that I have put in over the past month and now I get a lot of family time. I now am flying off to the Dominican Republic for our annual family get together with Moms, Dads, brothers, sisters, and everybody else. It is going to be awesome. So many people find this time of the year stressful and I want to give you a couple of tips to make sure that it doesn’t happen to you this holiday season. GET STARTED - Don’t leave things to the last minute. When we put things off, time just keeps slipping away from us and we get caught up in our daily lives. Before we know it, we are out of time and running around stressed out! SIMPLIFY - Do we really need to buy gifts for everyone we know? Do we really need to send out 1000 Holiday and New Year Cards? Do we really need to host fancy parties? Do we really need to add all these layers of complexity? No. We can do all of these things, but just simplify everything to release the volume of work and preparation. You can still do that all and have fun, by simplifying everything. DON’T GET INVOLVED - Look we all have a family dynamic…a crazy brother, a feisty sister, a judgmental in-law, an annoying uncle…whatever or whoever it is…the result can be the same. It causes friction at these family events. Don’t go there, let them be. Accept them and don’t get caught up in the drama. Even if you agree or not, even if you have an opinion or not. Let it go! ME TIME - Make sure you steal enough me time for yourself, especially if you have big plans. Stealing small moments of ME time during the course of the day, all adds up to large gains over time. Those gains are in the form of less stress, more peace, more joy, more happiness and a lot more fun. I also just did a free online training about this and you can catch the replay here. Whatever you do, have FUN and have a SAFE and wonderful Thanksgiving. XO Hayley
