Why is Self-Care Critical?

Ciao Peeps!

I got back from EU early last week and let me tell you I was J.E.T. LAGGED! I was on Italy time for a few days before I finally started getting back on my natural biorhythms.

I usually try to stick as close as possible to my regular schedule – eating, sleeping, exercise – but I was with my family on this trip (not to mention sibs and parents) and I sort of melted right into the Italian lifestyle. Yep, and I paid for it.

I am revving up for an end of summer blast. Wait until you hear about my August antics. Coming soon!

How’s your end of summer going? If you have little’s, I’ll bet you’re doing what I am doing and running around getting them ready to start school next month. Stuff for lunches, new clothes, and other goodies…. Good thing I love to shop! LOL

Whether you have kids, are married or single, the last few weeks of summer can be chaotic and it’s super important to remember to take care of yourself. Seriously, it’s critical!

What does self-care mean for you?

Self-care for me means getting enough rest, taking supplements and a regimen of essential oils. Oh and of course it means putting nutritious foods in my body (love juicing)! I get up early to make sure I’m ready to go when Madeline wakes up.

Some peeps, especially moms, think that putting yourself first is selfish. There’s a difference between self-care and selfish. I’m going to say that you NEED to be sure you’re operating at full speed ahead so you can be there for your family. Essential oils are a big part of that for me.

If you don’t have kids, it’s still important to meet your needs and treat yourself with love and respect.

On Wednesday, I’m sharing a video on how I use oils. Check it out and let me know what you think on Facebook [link].

We all need support to get going, and some days we need more than others. Sticking to a self-care regimen as often as possible will not only help you maintain, but also support you in upping your game when you need to.

See you Wednesday!

XO,

Hayley
